HOLTZ CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
To promote Christianity, Education, and Charity

OUR MISSION
Welcome to the Holtz Charitable Foundation, established in 1998 by Lou and Beth Holtz. Guided by Galatians 5:13, which calls us to "serve one another in love," we are dedicated to enriching lives through our philanthropic efforts.

Our mission is to promote Christianity, education, and charity, making a positive impact in our community. We proudly support initiatives like the Lou Holtz Upper Valley Hall of Fame and provide vocational scholarships, as well as insulin pumps for those with Type 1 diabetes.

OUR INITIATIVES
In the past we have supported worthy causes, including, but not limited to...
CAMP HOT SHOTS
Camp Hot Shots is a wonderful opportunity for young children (ages 6-11) with Type 1 Diabetes to make new friends and to learn ways to manage and cope while living with a chronic illness. Diabetes can sometimes feel like an invisible and isolating disease, but campers leave with a sense of community and belonging. Camp Hot Shots is all about empowering youth to manage diabetes and educate parents.
TRADE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS
These scholarships provide essential financial support for young adults in the Upper Valley of Ohio to learn critical trades and pave the way to stable future. By investing in the future workforce, we’re not only helping individuals achieve goals but also strengthening local economies and communities.
HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION
The Horatio Alger Association is one of the largest need-based scholarship providers in North America, enabling promising young people to pursue their dreams through higher education. In addition to financial assistance, the Association provides academic, personal and wellness, and professional support services to enable its Scholars to graduate and succeed in their lives and careers.
